Mission

In our mission of Connecting people to Jesus and one another, Southeast Christian Church has grown into a unified multisite community. We have multiple campuses serving the specific needs of the areas in which they are located, while receiving centralized teaching from the Blankenbaker Campus in Louisville, KY.

Leadership

While God and the Bible are the ultimate authority for Southeast Christian Church, there is a leadership structure to keep the day-to-day operations and ministry of the church moving correctly.

The leadership of Southeast has a few integral parts. First, elders. Southeast is first and foremost an elder-led church. The elders provide oversight, vision, and guidance to the corporate side of the church and most importantly the spiritual side of the church.

Second, pastors. Senior Pastor Kyle Idleman provides the leadership and everyday decision making for the paid staff, along with the Lead Team. The Lead Team includes Kyle and several key leaders on staff. The paid staff is made up of full-time ministry staff, full-time support staff, and part-time ministry and support staff.

At the end of the day, the Southeast leadership hopes that the office work our staff completes reflects God and brings the members and attendees that much closer to the Father.

What We Believe

What is the Gospel?

God

God is the only sovereign, wise, and good Creator of all things, who reigns as King over all creation for His own glory.
ROMANS 11:33-36

Man

Human beings were made in God’s image to love and worship Him forever. But ever since Adam first rebelled against God, we have all been lost in sin, under God’s judgment, and unable to save ourselves.
ROMANS 3:23

Christ

Out of undeserved love and grace, God sent His only Son to save us from sin and reconcile us to Himself through Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection.
JOHN 3:16

Response

God offers us His gift of salvation by grace, which we receive through faith in Jesus. He makes us new, calls us to leave sin behind, and invites us to join His work in the world.
EPHESIANS 2:8-10

Statement of Faith

These things don’t change at Southeast.

This is what we believe, and it’s who we are at the core as a church.

Baptism

section image
Each week, we take time during weekend services to celebrate those who have made the decision to declare Jesus as Lord and Savior by being baptized. We believe that baptism serves as a symbol of the burial of the old self and the resurrection of your soul to walk in life with Christ, and we love celebrating that!
